PILE ELBUD S.A. also actively participates in the development of railway infrastructure within the framework of the Modernisation of Power Supply Systems (MUZa II) programme.
The main objectives of the MUZa programme are:
- Improving the technical condition of the Trans-European Transport Network,
- Increasing the quality of offers and safety for both passenger and freight carriers,
- Improving energy security of railways in Poland,
- Obtaining an attractive train journey time in relation to road traffic.
- It can therefore be said that the modernization of facilities under the MUZa programme is to contribute to the trouble-free movement of trains and shorten their journey time.
In the course of our activities, PKP ENERGETYKA S.A. performed reconstruction of the following Traction Substations: Białystok TS, Łapy TS, Szepietowo TS and Czyżew TS. Both the construction and modernization of the next facilities are underway: Złotniki TS, Franki TS, Kraków Główny TS and Strzyżyno TS.
PILE ELBUD S.A. as the General Contractor on the above mentioned facilities is to perform modernization of the existing Traction Substations or construction of new ones together with land development and laying new control and power supply cables. Due to the short deadlines, the implementation of these tasks is quite a challenge. Nevertheless, the many years of experience gained in the execution of compiled contracts, for transmission and distribution operators, allowed the works to be performed according to the contractual deadlines.
